Your own earliest story is still speaking. Come learn to hear it.
Saturday, August 29 · 10:30am–1:30pm EDT · on Zoom · limited to 10 participants
"Most of our patterns as adults, how well we start or finish a project, how organized we are, how regulated our nervous system is, can be traced back to the story of our birth. It's a simple idea, yet a profoundly complex matrix when you begin to dive into it."
- Kyle Nicolaides, Santa Barbara, CA
You've spent your whole life inside a pattern you never chose and can't quite name.
The way you start things, or can't.
The way you leave, or linger.
The way you wait, or rush.
The way you come back after things fall apart.
It started at the very beginning, before you had words, in the way you came into the world. Your body has carried it ever since.
This workshop is a small group where you get to meet your own beginning, gently, at your own pace, while others hold the space around you. Not to fix anything. But to finally see what's been there all along, so the patterns start to make a different kind of sense.
You don't need to know your birth story. You don't need a reason, or a diagnosis. Just curiosity about where you began, and how it's still showing up in you.

If you're struggling with any transition- from getting out of bed, meal times, leaving the house, completing tasks, eating, getting into bed at night... Or milestones like starting school, changing schools, moving, or launching into the world. Or if you're simply curious!
If you're in the curious camp, wondering about how your early story might be showing up, this is a great space to see yourself and what you need in present time in new ways by meeting a part of your younger self. This is not external strategies where someone else tells you what to do or how to fix you, but an inside exploration where you begin to see what you need in a new way.
There are materials to help you prepare once you join the course, including a form to fill out to help you think about your birth with whatever you know, along with some questions about how you move through transitions or where you might get stuck.
We'll have a live workshop for 3 hours together on Saturday, Sept 5 at 10:30am EDT. Each person attending will have a turn to talk about what they know about their birth and to share one situation that happens repeatedly that you would like to explore. Each turn will be recorded for your own use to review later in our secure course portal. You'll be supported in a slow and gentle way to share the parts of the story that feel most important to you, and you'll leave with something new you can see and try to support yourself differently.
The process is a slow reflective experience to support integration for you and skills you can use in your own life after the workshop is over.

This is for you if...
This is NOT for you if...
Yes, this is a live workshop experience. I highly recommend you plan to attend live to get the full benefit of the experience.
Your access stays. You can return to the materials as many times as you like, for as long as the course exists. Many participants say they value being able to go back and watch their segment again because they see different things when they go back to it again later.
The live workshop with support for your story of your birth, preparation materials (including a questionnaire to get you thinking about your birth and transition patterns), and the recordings.
You don't need any special supplies. It is helpful to have paper or a journal to write things down during the workshop. And we recommend having some time set aside after the workshop to integrate the experience, but nothing else is necessary.
Yes! You don't need to know anything. I often find that with some prompts, participants start to remember what others said about their birth and we have a questionnaire to help with that before the workshop. There are also questions about the way you transition and how you show up in every day life, which is more important than knowing your birth story. So come and explore with whatever you know or don't know. We're here to guide your process.
Each registration is for one story. If you'd like to attend with your partner, they're welcome to attend to support you. Or if your mother would like to be part of the session (and that works for you), you're welcome to bring her. But each registration is for one birth story only to make sure we meet the needs of the participants. If your partner wants space to share their own story, that's a separate registration.
If you decide before the workshop that this isn't for you, please email me at rebecca@thrivinghumans.org and let me know what you need. I would rather refund you than have you be somewhere you don't want to be. If it is after the workshop, there are no refunds.
Email rebecca@thrivinghumans.org and Rebecca or her team will get back to you within 1-2 business days.
"It's been impressive to realize in the weeks after the workshop how impactful our birth imprints still are in our daily lives. Getting more insight into these imprints has enabled me to bring certain unconscious patterns into the light of consciousness, which makes me feel more autonomous, empowered, and feeling less overwhelmed by life."
