Back To Birth: The Parents Workshop

Your Child's Story, Held. A small group experience for parents ready to go deeper with their child's imprints

Your child's earliest story is still speaking. Come learn to hear it.

Saturday, August 29 · 10:30am–1:30pm EDT · on Zoom · limited to 12 parents

What if your child's hardest moments make more sense than you think?

"I had an idea that my son's birth had an impact, but I had no idea what to do about it. Working with Rebecca helped us to see how that story was showing up every time we tried to leave the house or get up to the table for a meal (with so much frustration!), and that his premature birth just needed to be seen. He wasn't ready then and he was continuing to show us the story of not being ready. Once we got that, everything could change. -KR, Dunedin, FL

In the masterclass, you saw what an imprint is: the pattern laid down before words, in the body, in the way your child came into the world. You may have already started recognizing your own child in it.

This workshop is where you bring that recognition into the room and do something with it.  Together, in a small group, each parent takes a turn with one real thing they're seeing in their child right now. The bedtime that always unravels. The transitions that land too hard. The place where your child seems to be reaching for something you can't quite name. We look at where it might live in their earliest sequence, and at how you can meet them there with curiosity.

You'll share a little of your own story of this child arriving, birth, or adoption, or those first days, because it's part of the picture. But the work stays with your child, and with the very practical question of how to support them in one part of their sequence, starting now.

This isn't about fixing anything. It's about seeing what was hard to see before, so the hard moments start to make a different kind of sense, and so you have somewhere real to stand the next time one arrives.

What kind of family benefits from this workshop?

If you're struggling with any transition- from getting out of bed, meal times, leaving the house, completing tasks, eating, getting into bed at night... Or milestones like starting school, changing schools, moving, or launching into the world.

Or if you're curious how your child's imprints may be showing up. If you're preparing for an upcoming milestone, it can really help to support your child to work with their own imprints.

Either way, you want to be able to support your child differently and you're looking for the tools to do that.

How this works

There are materials to help you prepare once you join the course, including a form to fill out to help you think about your child's birth with whatever you know.

We'll have a live workshop for 3 hours together on Saturday, Aug 29 at 10:30am EDT. Each family will have a turn to talk about what they know and one situation they see repeatedly happening for their child. Each turn will be recorded for your own use to review later in our secure course portal. You'll be supported in a slow and gentle way to share the parts of the story that feel most important to you, and you'll leave with something new you can see and try as you support your child.

The process is a slow reflective experience to support integration for you and skills you can use with your child.

Is this for you?

This is for you if...

  • You have a child of any age that you'd like to understand better
  •  You're willing to be curious to see the story that is being shown to you every day
  • You'd like to support your child in new ways because the tools you have aren't working.

This is NOT for you if...

  • You're looking for a clinical or therapeutic intervention. This is an invitation to explore, not therapy.
  • You're looking for someone to fix your child. We're here to help you be curious.
  • You're hoping someone will tell you exactly what to do. We believe you already know.

Questions you may have...

Yes, this is a live workshop experience. I highly recommend you plan to attend live to get the full benefit of the experience.

Your access stays. You can return to the materials as many times as you like, for as long as the course exists. Many parents say they value being able to go back and watch their segment again because they see different things when they go back to it again later.

The live workshop with support for your family's story of the birth, preparation materials (including a questionnaire to get you thinking about your child's birth), and the recordings.

No. It's helpful to have paper or a journal to write things down during the workshop, and some time set aside after the workshop to integrate the experience, but nothing else is necessary.

Each registration is for one family. If you'd like to attend with your partner or co-parent, they're welcome. If it is a friend, please have them register separately. But if your mother would like to be part of the session (and that works for you), you're welcome to bring her.

If you decide before the workshop that this isn't for you, please email me at rebecca@thrivinghumans.org and let me know what you need. I would rather refund you than have you be somewhere you don't want to be. If it is after the workshop, there are no refunds.

Email rebecca@thrivinghumans.org and Rebecca or her team will get back to you within 1-2 business days.

"I didn't realize how much my child's birth was impacting her, and the pattern of the way she came into the world turned out to be exactly how she moved out of the house. She came in fast, she completed milestones fast when it was time, and one day she was living on her own. It helped to understand that it wasn't personal, that really this is the way she's always done everything. That gave me space to then tend to my own experience of that. Turns out that I have a very different imprint than my daughter does! But that's another story."
